Constitution
- The League to be known as Peterborough & District Darts League
- Headquarters will be Post Office club, Peterborough
- All officers to be democratically voted in at the Annual General Meeting before each season begins. Must also be present to be elected
- Proposals for Annual General Meeting rule changes should be with the league secretary's possession at least 14 days prior to meeting
- All people registered are deemed as league members
- Any disputes shall be dealt by the committee; their decision is final
- It is requested that all Captains/League members, be present at the yearly Annual General Meeting
- All League members are expected to behave in a sporting and well-behaved manner. Anyone not, shall be dealt with by the committee
Data Protection Information
The Peterborough & District Darts League, (The League) is committed to protecting the privacy of its members.
This policy is intended to inform you how the league gathers, defines, and uses Personal Data that you provide to the league when registering to join the league, when playing the matches and entering the competitions in each year of the Leagues activities, please take a moment to read the Privacy Policy carefully.
This policy includes a description of Your Data Protection RIGHTS, including a right to object to some of the processing activities carried out.
EU Privacy Law requires the league to be specific about the reasons and legal grounds for using your Personal Data. Accordingly, for the purpose of EU Privacy Law only, the information below describes the types of Data processed, where the Data is sourced, the grounds relied to carry out the processing, and who Data may be shared with.
Processed Data Categories; Team name, Personal Title, First Name/Last name, Residential Address, Email address and Telephone Number.
How is Data Supplied? By consent, directly from you through the Annual Registration process, weekly results sheets, Competition registrations.
Grounds for Processing Data; To ensure the smooth running of the League program.
Recipients of Data; League committee. Other league members to aid league day to day operation.
Your Rights - Under EU Privacy Law;
The UK will continue to comply with this legislation after leaving the EU. EU Privacy Law grants specific rights, summarized below, which you can in principle exercise free of charge, subject to statutory exceptions. These rights may be limited, for example if fulfilling your request would reveal Personal Data about another person, or if you ask the league to delete information which the league requires to ensure operation and therefore has compelling legitimate interests in keeping.
Should you have unresolved concerns, you have the right to lodge a complaint with a Supervisory Authority where you live or where you believe a breach may have occurred. The league would encourage you to come to the League in the first instance but, to the extent that this right applies to you. You are entitled to complain directly to the relevant Supervisory Authority.
- Right to withdraw consent; Wherever the League relies on your consent, you will be able to withdraw that consent at any time you choose and at your own initiative by contacting a League Committee member. The Withdrawal of your consent will not affect the lawfulness of the collection and processing of your Data based on your consent up until the moment where you withdraw this consent. Please note that we may have other legal grounds for processing your Data for other purposes, such as those set out in this Privacy Policy.
- Right to access and rectify your data; You have the right to access, review, and rectify your Personal Data. You may be entitled to ask the League for a copy of your information, to review or correct it if you wish to rectify any information like your name, email address, etc... by contacting a committee member.
- Right to erasure; In accordance with EU Privacy Law, you have the right to erasure of your Personal Data held by the League in case it is no longer needed for the purposes for which the Personal Data was initially supplied or in the event you have withdrawn your consent or objected to processing as described in this Privacy Policy and no other legal ground for processing applies. Should you wish to have your Personal Data erased contact a committee member.
- Right to restriction of processing; Under certain circumstances described in EU Privacy Law, you may ask The League to restrict the processing of your Personal Data. This is for example the case when you contest the accuracy of Your Personal Data. In such event, the League will restrict the processing until it can verify the accuracy of your Data.
- Right to object to processing; Under certain circumstances described in EU Privacy Law, you may object to the processing of Your Personal Data.
- Security Measures; Data is held by the League Secretary and Results Secretary. No copies are made of Data which is only kept in the form submitted. i.e. There is no transfer to any storage format.
- What Rules apply to children? The League will need permission from child's parent if the child is under the age of 18. UK Laws allows entry to Public Houses and membership clubs of persons under the age of 18 years in certain stated circumstances i.e. accompanied by an adult. This means that such a person under the age of 18 years, could become a member of the League providing that person is legally permitted to enter licensed premises. In the event we learn that the League has collected Personal Data from a person under the age of 18 without verification of parental consent, steps will be taken promptly to remove the information. If anyone believes that the League have or may have information from or about a person under 18 years of age, please contact the League officials.
- How is your Personal Data Shared with Third Parties; Information provided with the consent of League members will NEVER be shared with anyone outside of the membership of the League.
- International Data Transfers; Information collected from members as described in this Private Policy will never be transferred to or stored at a destination outside the EEA.
- How long is Personal Data Kept? The league will retain your Personal Data for the duration of each League program. All registration forms, weekly result sheets, competition sheets will be shredded/erased at the end of each program. A new set of Personal Data will be collected at the Annual General Meeting, and throughout the League season as required. League Minutes are maintained for reference purposes. These may contain individuals' names and team - nothing else. Minutes are only used internally in matters of the League. League trophies may have names of the individuals who have won these awards over the years on them.
